Meet Derek

Professional

Presently, serves as the Principal Investigator for the MiFi-DC project, Principal Mechanical Engineer and METL Group Leader for Argonne National Laboratory. Previously, was a Lead Test Development Engineer for the Lubrizol Corporation. Part-time, pursuing a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering at Purdue University.

Technical

Licensed Professional Engineer and Certified LabVIEW Architect. Software experience with LabVIEW, Python, Engineering Equation Solver, Inventory, AutoCAD, JKI VI Package Manager, RSLogix, MATLAB, Visual Basic and eMaint. Talented in Brazing, Welding, Mechanical Assembly, Low and High Voltage Wiring and, Troubleshooting and Hazardous Material Handling.

Personal

Dedicated Father and Husband. German Shepherd Owner and Avid Motorcyclist (Kawasaki Ninja 1000-Sport Touring Setup). Enjoys the Outdoors and Traveling. A 3rd Generation Class 8 Truck Driver from Racine, WI, now based in Chicago, IL
